Terms

These are the terms you agree to when you use Thought Manager. We wrote them in the same plain language as the privacy policy. If you prefer dense legalese for that lawyerly comfort, sorry.

What we provide

A mobile app that helps you capture, hold, and find your own thoughts. We process your input through AI services to summarize, transcribe, and recall — see the privacy policy for the full list of who touches what. The service is provided as-is. We make best efforts but do not guarantee specific availability or accuracy.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 to use the app.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.
• You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We delete live data immediately and purge backups within thirty days.

Your content

Everything you capture in Thought Manager belongs to you. We don't claim any ownership over your thoughts. We process them solely to provide the service to you.

You retain the right to export, modify, or delete your content. You also agree not to use the app to store content that violates the law — illegal material, content that infringes someone else's rights, or material designed to harm others.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to:

• Break the law in your jurisdiction or anyone else's.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access in ways that strain the service.
• Attempt to access another user's data, or to exploit vulnerabilities in the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate this. We try to be reasonable about it.

Pricing and payment

The app is currently free during early access. When paid plans ship, we'll publish pricing on the marketing site and notify existing users at least thirty days before any change affects them. Subscriptions, if you choose them, are billed through Apple and follow Apple's standard subscription rules — including refunds, which Apple handles.

Service changes

We may improve, change, or discontinue features. If a change is material — affects what you can store, what you pay, or how your data is handled — we'll let you know via email and update this page first. Minor improvements ship continuously without notice.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Thought Manager is provided without warranty, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or the total amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

We back this up with the operational discipline described in the privacy policy — encryption at rest, scoped access, no data sales — because the legal cap doesn't replace doing the right thing.

Termination

You can stop using the app at any time. Deleting your account from inside Settings ends our agreement. We can also end the agreement with notice if you violate these terms.

After termination, your right to use the app stops, but the parts of these terms that should reasonably survive termination — liability limits, your existing data exports — survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts of San Francisco County.

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page when we change anything material, and revise the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
