Common things

Voice memos won’t transcribe.

Open iOS Settings → Thought Manager and confirm the microphone permission is on. The app falls back to a placeholder when permission is denied so the entry isn’t lost — but the audio won’t turn into searchable text until permission is granted and you re-record.

Photos aren’t extracting their text.

Same place — iOS Settings → Thought Manager. Photo library and camera access need to be on. If both are on and OCR still isn’t happening, the photo may be too low-contrast for the model to read confidently.

How do I delete an entry?

Long-press the card in the feed and choose Delete. The entry is removed locally and on our server within seconds.

How do I export everything I’ve written?

Email us and we’ll send a JSON archive of every entry, transcript, and OCR result we hold for you within seven days.

How do I delete my account?

Email us. We delete live data immediately and purge backups within thirty days, per the privacy policy.

The recall search isn’t finding a thought I know I captured.

Try describing it differently — the search ranks by meaning, not keywords. If you used the photo or voice mode, give the transcript or OCR a moment to land before searching; it usually completes within a few seconds of capture.

Bugs and feedback

If you hit a crash, a stuck loading state, or anything that feels off, we want to hear about it. A short note about what you were doing and which iOS version you’re on is plenty — screenshots help if you have them.

Things we don’t do

  • We don’t have a phone line. Email is the channel.
  • We don’t have a chatbot. A human reads every email.
  • We don’t have a Discord, forum, or Slack community yet.
